The California Geological Survey is looking for a geoscientist to lead the Watershed Hazards and Climate Adaptation Branch. The Branch consists of four technical programs including geological mapping and 3D modeling (incl. geologic carbon sequestration), mineral resource assessment, forest and watershed geology, and burned watershed geohazards.

The CGS is an applied science division within the Department of Conservation. We are non-regulatory organization, performing scientific investigations, mapping, modeling and communication of our work (including publication), to fully inform policy, risk reduction, resource conservation, and sustainable economic development.
