The Connecticut Geological Survey is seeking a hard-rock geologist with expertise in bedrock structure to map and remap Connecticut’s complicated metamorphic terranes. The role offers the opportunity to lead and conduct bedrock mapping projects from field investigations through geologic map and dataset production, with substantial responsibility for advancing Connecticut's geologic mapping program. This geologist will play a key role in both modernizing the state's geologic framework and rebuilding a small state geological survey.

The survey is housed withing the state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, and the official DEEP title of the position is: Environmental Analyst 3, but responsibilities all relate to bedrock geology. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position, 35 hours/ week.
