Membership Rules
Consists of two current State Geologists, one Associate and one Honorary member. The AASG Vice-President chairs. The other State Geologist and the Associate will be from one of the states hosting one or more of the conferences.
Responsibilities
- Manage the materials, scheduling and staffing of the AASG booth at events such as the annual GSA and National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
- Keep track of supplies for the booth (postcards, etc.) and provide maintenance of the booth or new booth materials as needed.
- Committee members will assist the Vice President in shipping, holding, set up and take down of the booth.
- Arrange schedules and ensure adequate staffing of the booth.
- Determine other meeting that AASG might wish to attend
Goals
- Exhibit at the August, 2007 NCSL meeting in Tennessee
- Exhibit at the GSA annual meeting, Philadelphia, Oct 22-25
- Commit to 2007 meetings
- Evaluate the effectiveness of continued partnerships in the NCSL booth
- Document action items and contacts resulting from meetings and provide key contacts with follow up instruction
