  • Assists in review of quarry aggregate geologic source reports under PA21-120;
  • Assists in review of educational mineral collecting program permit applications;
  • Assists in geologic field studies and research initiatives through both field and office-based work;
  • Assists in Survey library and collections access and database maintenance;
  • Assists in development of geological maps, cross sections, and publications in GIS and online;
  • Assists in maintaining the bedrock mines and quarries geodatabase, as well as other Survey digital geologic data;
  • Assists in providing scientific support to agency, federal and state officials, private developers, non-profit organizations, educators, students, the media, and the public;
  • Mentor student interns and seasonal staff in development of applied geological research and foster their professional advancement; and
