Geologist/Hydrogeologist

This Geologist/Hydrogeologist position is responsible for for planning, coordinating, and managing energy and mineral resource investigations related to economic geology; to provide geologic data and interpretations to agencies, businesses, and the public in the area of economic geology; and to assist the State Geologist/Section Chief and Division Director in related matters.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Analyze the results of independent energy and mineral resource studies and presents these data and conclusions in public and professional presentations, summary reports, and publications of various types including geologic maps and GIS datasets.
• Recommend through the State Geologist/Section Chief to the Division Director, priorities for and scope of statewide energy and mineral resource studies and mapping.
• Responsible for project management and team leadership of permanent and/or temporary staff as assigned.
